STEPS TO ADMISSION

What is the Admissions process at DHCA?

Step 1: Online application

Use the button below to access our Online Application. We also ask each student entering grades 5-12 to fill out a Student Information Form. Please note there is an Online Application fee of $100.

Step 2: Submit Student Records

DHCA will need the following Student Records:

  • Copy of student's birth certificate

  • Copy of the most recent report card or transcript

  • Complete and submit a Release of Records form to your student's current school

  • Recent standardized test scores

Supplemental Paperwork (if applicable)​

  • Copy of IEP/504 and accommodations paperwork

  • Custody information

Step 3: Request References

To ensure the success of your student in our community, we require student recommendations from current teachers and a family reference from your pastor.

  Grades 1-4

  • Primary Teacher Reference

  • Pastor's Family Reference

  Grades 5-12

  • English Teacher Reference

  • Math Teacher Reference

  • Pastor's Family Reference

Step 4: Placement Testing and Family Interview

Upon receipt of the required documentation in the previous 3 steps, DHCA will contact your family to schedule an interview and placement testing date.  The testing helps us create the best possible program for your student. 


Step 5: Acceptance

The complete application file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee after all of the above steps have been completed. Families will be notified by the Admissions Director regarding the acceptance of your student. Students accepted to DHCA will need to have all necessary medical forms submitted before the first day of school.
